Kelly's 6th Birthday Party

In an excellent example of better-late-than-never, we present pictures from Kelly's birthday party back in Jaunary.  Because she enjoyed it so much last year we did it all over again this year.  It was fun to have a bunch of new friends there this year.  Alyssa was able to participate a lot more easily this time too!

Monkey Boy

Rhys is 2!

The day after Rhys' birthday Alyssa and I took him for his checkup. He's doing great -- he grew 3 inches since his 18-month checkup! He's up to the 30th percentile for height and the 50th for weight. No more head circumference measurements though I'm quite sure he'd still be off the chart.

Afterwards we swung by McDonald's for a quick breakfast before we went to school and work.

(The first picture is completely unposed -- I turned around after signing in and that's where they were. The second picture is posed, but I have no idea why they're crouching!)

Easter 2013

A deer behind our house after we got home. Happy Spring!

Sick Kids

Friday afternoon I took Rhys to the doctor due to the telltale signs of an ear infection. He just has a cold, but I can't believe what a big boy he is. He climbed right up into the grownup chair.

Meanwhile, Alyssa fell asleep on the couch after an exhausting week at Gramma and Grampa's house. Both kids spent the weekend alternating between feverish and fine. (Kelly seems to have dodged this bullet for the time being.)

Fizzgig

We got to meet Aunt Samantha's new kitten on Sunday. This good-natured little guy is only about 5 weeks old! No pics of Rhys holding him as his hands weren't quite gentle enough. The girls did great though! It quickly became apparent that if we were to adopt a cat ourselves, we would need to get at least 3 of them.

Silly Rhys

"I pity da foo' who doesn't like my Mardi Gras beads."

"Hat!" He kept proclaiming loudly when I tried to take his picture. He wouldn't stop telling me about it, hence the funny face.
