Nosey Hedgehog

This outfit was the only one we purchased during the brief period when we tentatively thought Kelly was going to be a boy. We just couldn't resist the silly text. Now, it's the only blue item that Kelly owns! (Girl clothes don't come in blue). I was trying to showcase how pretty her blue eyes look with it, but you can't really tell in these pictures.

Kelly thinks the whole thing is ridiculous. ;)

Kelly and Teddy

Everybody gets a turn to hold Kelly during dinner. She seems quite comfortable. (Teddy is Aunt Samantha's beau.)

Kelly and Hans

After a day of exciting St. Patrick's Day festivities, Kelly decided to take a nap on her pal Hans. Hans didn't mind. His first reaction was to lick her head. (Hans is one of Grandma's three kitties... Kelly has three kitties of her very own.)

We Have Smiles!

Kelly has finally begun to smile and I was able to catch a few on camera the other day. Here she is having a jolly old time:

New Toy!

Today Kelly got a new toy in the mail: a gym! She enjoyed looking at the dangly toys.

Still cute...

There haven't been any pictures in a few days, but don't worry, at 7 weeks, Kelly is still cute :).

No, she's not getting her first haircut -- it was just a little chilly and I didn't want her to be cold. She was quick to get her arms out though:
Speaking of haircuts, we're all wondering whether Kelly is going to have straight or curly hair.

How's the resemblance doing... ?

Diaper Change

For some reason, Kelly always looks very cute when she's getting her diaper changed. Here she is, almost 6 weeks old.
The next day at the doctor, Kelly weighed 10 lb 4 oz! Thats 3 lb more than when she was born, 1 day shy of 6 weeks old! She's our good little grower :)

Mom's Friend Marie

On Saturday, March 3rd, my friend from MIT, Marie, came to visit and meet Kelly. You can hardly tell Marie hasn't been around many babies ;). I can't believe I was the same way only a couple of months ago! Kelly actually took a break from her evening crying jag to be nice to the novice :).

Bradley Grads!

We took a class on the Bradley Method of childbirth (12 2-hour classes!) to learn how to have healthy babies naturally. Here we all are with our friends from the class, Stephen and Angela, and their little girl, Skylar Renee:

Skylar was born on February 10th, making her only 2.5 weeks younger than Kelly. In this picture they're about 3 weeks and 5.5 weeks, respectively. Too young to be up so late (7 PM) posing for pictures.
