Saturday Fun with Grampa and Gramma

Riding the Grampa horse!

A rare serious moment from Kelly....

followed by a silly one!

Playdoh Hijinx

Yesterday Kelly was playing with Playdoh with Daddy when she decided to scare me with the snakes they were making. I was very scared by the entire situation and Kelly thought it was hilarious.

Favorite Foods

Lately Kelly has been enjoying a lot of her new favorite foods. She often asks for "juice, juice!" (apple juice) and "no-toasted toast" before we even come downstairs for breakfast.

We started out calling cinnamon raisin toast "toast" and then she decided she didn't like things heated by the toaster ("No toastin', no toastin'!"). So now she actually asks for "no-toasted toast" aka bread.

Kelly and Mommy

James just sent these to me the other day and I figured out they're from the beginning of the month when we went to our playgroup Valentine's Party (hence why we're all decked out in pink).

Thump, thump, thump

On Friday, Courteney, Kelly, and I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Kelly was not too impressed. She wouldn't even talk to the doctor.

However, when the doctor was leaving the room, Kelly said "Bye, man."

Two-Year Check-Up

Today we finally took Kelly in for her two-year check-up. She is right on track developmentally, advanced even! Although she wouldn't say much of anything to the doctor beyond "Mmmm" when asked a question, the doctor got a little bit of a sampling while Kelly was talking to us... and thus believed us when we told her that Kelly has no problems talking! Her weight (23 lbs) and height (32 in) put her right around the 10th percentile so it looks like Kelly is finally fulfilling her genetic destiny to be petite. Her head circumference is all the way up at 55th percentile though (18.75 in)... she must get that from me. No pictures from today, but here she is enjoying her first bubble bath this past Wednesday night.

Playin' with Aunt Kate

On Saturday we went to Gramma and Grampa's house to celebrate my birthday and Kelly enjoyed playing with her Aunt Kate (or Aunt Cake as she sometimes calls her... I can't say I would complain if I were called a delicious dessert ;)).

Long Lost Xmas Picture

Gramma Dot just found this picture of Kelly from Xmas. I thought I'd share it... (And she gets on our case for being behind on pictures!)
