Super Pet Expo

On Sunday we went to the Super Pet Expo with Gramma Dot, Grampa, and Aunt Kate. Kelly got to meet all sorts of unusual pets.

First she got to pet an alpaca. It was extremely docile and sweet.

Then we got our picture taken with this big white dog. We did it to appease Gramma Dot since we didn't get any pictures with the Easter Bunny this year.

Finally, the whole family got our picture taken with a 22-foot, 70-pound python. It was really fun. It felt like a big, warm rope holding us together. Just like the alpaca, it was very docile and sweet to pose for so many photos!

Facing Forward

Kelly now gets to ride facing forward in the car (she has been for a couple weeks, but this is the first nice picture of it). It's such a pleasure to be able to turn around and see her!

14 Months Old!

Daddy took this picture on Monday while they were waiting from me to get home from work. Kelly was exactly 14 months old :)

Happy Easter!

Happy after the Easter Feast.

Hanging out with Uncle Joe.

Proud to have just made it down the stairs with a only a little help from her mommy.

Chatty Kelly. I just think she looks so grown up in this picture.

Kelly took to the little stuffed cat because it let her get closer than any of the real ones she knows. She enjoyed handing the "cow eggs" to the cat.

Just looking cute.

Happy Birthday, Caroline!

Kelly's friend Caroline turns one on April 1st, and we were fortunate enough to be able to share in the celebration. You may remember Caroline from her previous appearances on the blog.

They are just about the same size and with their dark hair and fair skin, they made an adorable pair :).

They had a great time sharing Caroline's toys.

Friendly Caroline was trying to hug Kelly, but Kelly was kind of oblivious.

She was however, really interested in the balloons.

Blowing out the candle on the birthday cake. Both of Caroline's parents, Veronica and James, were my coworkers. James left nearly three years ago to attend dental school, so it was really nice to get to see him again.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Caroline!

On the Road

Now that Kelly is turned around in her carseat, her daddy and I have had the pleasure of being able to see her in the car. As we travelled around quite a bit this weekend to various activities, Kelly had to stay entertained... Playing with my old (dead) cellphone. It looks like she's conducting important business, doesn't it?

In case anyone ever wondered why we would need a minivan with only one child, this picture provides some supporting evidence. The other family member needs an entire bench seat in the back. ;)

Visiting Ryan

Last weekend we went out to visit our friends Tim, Lisa, and Ryan and see their new house.

Kelly and Lisa and Tim.

Kelly and Ryan.

Kelly telling Ryan a secret.

Playing with Ryan's bouncing Tigger toy.

Kelly petting the rocking horse.

It wasn't as much fun as it looked...?

Early Spring Swings

We've been a bit behind in posting, but here you are. Two weeks ago we braved some chilly weather and went swinging at a local playground.

Trying to get her pesky hair out of her eyes. Daddy doesn't want to have her bangs cut so we'll have to just wait until they grow out.

Kelly's New Favorite Hangout

(I included both pictures because I couldn't figure out which one was better -- you can decide ;) )
Apropos the comment on the previous post, Desi is quite benevolent towards Kelly and doesn't seem to mind at all when she uses his hammock.
