Last Swimming Lesson

Today Daddy came with us to Kelly's last swimming lesson. Here is a picture from before and one from after.

Water Play!

Our neighbors got a cool new hose attachment that shoots balls up in the air along with water. Both Kelly and Logan jumped right in and had a great time playing with it on Memorial Day.

Kayla was definitely a bit more hesitant but she got in on the action too.

Baby Doll

For the first time ever Kelly showed interest in a doll while we were at Skylar's house. So, to encourage this, we went to ToysRUs and bought her a doll and a stroller yesterday.

After some outdoor waterplay, Kelly played with her baby doll in her toddler rocking chair. (Please disregard the odd expression on her face in a couple of the pictures -- she had a mouthful of apple!)

"Don't mind me..."

"Here's her mouth."

"Here's her eye."

Reunion of the Bradley Crew

On Sunday we impulsively called up our friends from our Bradley childbirth class. The live very close to us so it was easy to go visit them. This was the third time the girls have seen each other; the last time was when they were just a few weeks old. It was really cool to see them playing together. Skylar's mom Angie is due in October with their second daughter!

Up Close and Personal

Kelly was playing with the camera and must have hit "zoom" a few [hundred] times because when she handed it back to me it was cycling through its zoom levels for a few minutes. I decided to just go ahead and snap a few pictures of her. Needless to say I got some really cool ones. These two were my favorites.

Jubulant

Kelly was really excited to give me her comb on Sunday... not really sure why... ;)

Sixteen Months Old!

On Saturday Kelly turned 16 months old! We were playing in Grandma and Granddad's new living room when Logan was trying to get in from the deck. Kelly couldn't understand why he couldn't come in. Unfortunately for them, dogs aren't allowed in the living room.

Sliding at Kayla's House

Today Kelly got to play on our neighbor Kayla's new slide. The girls had so much fun!

Playing at Home

Today Kelly wore this adorable birthday outfit that she got from my Uncle Teddy and Aunt Paula for at least the third time. I knew that this time we had to get some pictures to show them on the blog. We ended up with the many faces of Kelly... Enjoy!

Pigtails!

I was feeling ambitious this morning so I put some pigtails in Kelly's hair for the first time ever. It was quick and dirty, and they were a bit messy/lopsided, but I was extremely pleased with the result.

I took the pictures as fast as I could, as they only lasted for about 5 minutes before she pulled them out.

Playing at the Park

Kelly managed to amass quite an impressive pile of crap in between two slats of the fence at the park. It mainly consisted of carefully placed bark, rocks, flowers and random yard debris.

Fifteen minutes later, the project was complete.

Happy Mother's Day

Yesterday for Mother's Day James treated me to an afternoon by myself -- my first since I quit working (and my first without working since Kelly was born!). I think it was great for both Kelly and me to have a little bit of time apart.

The nice thing was that Gramma Dot got a Mother's Day gift out of it as well -- an afternoon with her granddaughter!

The biggest surprise was my second gift -- James spent the afternoon cleaning out my car, which was a massive undertaking and truly appreciated. ;)

Nature Trail

On Saturday we went to a local park to enjoy the beautiful weather. We intended to play on the playground, but Kelly wasn't terribly interested. So we ended up going on a beautiful trail along the water.

For some reason Kelly liked lifting this shirt and showing off her belly button.

Enjoying the picturesque marsh.

Checking out the tree canopy along the trail. Or maybe she was looking at the birds. A friendly bicyclist told us that we were in one of the most diverse bird wildlife areas around, despite the fact that the park is mostly ballfields!

Just Kelly

On Wednesday we went and spent some time with Charlotte and Elizabeth at the mall. Before hand, I tried to get some pictures of Kelly. These are my favorites.
