We Have Walking!

This is the first picture we've gotten of Kelly walking. Starting yesterday, she is consistently walking, often many steps (~10!) over several feet! I'm SO proud of her and excited.

Bad Week

It's been a bad couple of days for the health of our family. So bad even that I thought this worst-picture-of-me-ever was warranted.

While I was up in the city for a conference yesterday, Grandma decided to take Kelly to the doctor to check out her cold. Sure enough, she still has an ear infection in both ears, despite our vigilant Amoxicillin administration. We've started another round of stronger antibiotics.

Logan got into the trash and ate some bones, upsetting his delicate digestive system (you wouldn't think that would be the case with a 166-pound dog, but it is). It was so bad we decided to get him x-rayed last night. Fortunately, he was fine.

Finally (hopefully), we paid a visit to an orthopedist today to check out an injury that I got over a week ago that was not improving. Turns out I have a broken tailbone. Kind of makes it hurt more now that I've seen it on an x-ray :(. Too bad there's not much that can be done other than wait for it to heal.

Grandparents Visit

Today Gramma Dot, Grampa, Gram, and Uncle Joe came down to take us to lunch and then came over to get some Kelly time.

Backseat

We tried out the back carry position with the Ergo on Saturday and Kelly loved it. She acted like she was riding a horse and giggled for half of our walk. This picture was taken at the end of our hike around the neighborhood, and Kelly was slightly less excited by then. She is demonstrating her "Where is your mouth?" trick in this picture. :)

On Saturday I made us a big dinner (a very rare occurrence!) so Daddy was left to entertain Kelly. Just being cute...

First Haircut!

Today we took Kelly to Cartoon Cuts for her very first haircut (Grandma and Granddaddy were nagging us to "get her a trim")!


I got to sit in the chair and she sat in my lap. First we talked style....

Then we got down to business ;)

Kelly found a little green fish toy while we were waiting that she didn't want to let go of. She did enjoy offering it to me to eat.

We had a great time with it.

The cutting went well, but the drying... not so much.

Ear Infections

Kelly was diagnosed with two ear infections on Friday afternoon. It's been a long week of feverish nights, and I finally decided that this was probably more than just a virus or a reaction to the vaccines she got last week. Fortunately, last night was finally a little better, thanks to the Amoxicillin that she's on now. Here are a couple of pics from the week:
