On Friday, Kelly, Ryan, Lisa, and I went over to my parent's house to have a playdate. Kelly and Ryan enjoyed sharing Kelly's toys there...

Bug-Out

Kelly and I encountered a really cool praying mantis today that was about 4 inches long. I wanted her to stand with it so I could get a picture of them together, but she wasn't up for that. I did manage to get this cool shot instead...

Too bad my phone is in the picture. I never said I had any skills!

19 Months Old; Diaper Chronicles

Now that Kelly is 19 months old, she has a lovely new habit -- helping me change her diaper. Twice today she alerted me that she needed her diaper changed by going into the cabinet, retrieving a clean diaper and the package of wipes, and bringing them to me. The second time she even threw the dirty diaper in the trash and put the wipes package back into the cabinet(!). On a related note, she also likes to "change" her dolls and toys. We caught her giving Zoboo a kiss after she was done changing him.

Clemyjontri Park

On Friday Daddy took the day off to celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary. We started the day off at Clemyjontri Park in McLean.

We left without even checking out the whole playground (it is really big!) when Kelly crawled into her stroller, signalling that she was ready to ride back to the car (in satellite parking -- I said it was busy!). After that she went to play at Gramma Dot's house while we got a much needed afternoon to ourselves. Everyone had a great day!

Fun at the Park

This past weekend was beautiful so we went to a local park to play.


These two kids took a liking to Kelly and hung out with her a lot. The boy's name is Logan and their mom said their last name is Kelly. ;)

Kelly has become a sliding pro. Just last week she went down a curly slide all by herself!!

Sunday with Gramma and Grampa

We spent a large portion of Sunday at James' parents' house.
Kelly got to partake of the nice weather outside both on the swing (oh, how she loves it!)...

Ryan's Birthday Party

This weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating Ryan's first birthday with him and his family. We all had a wonderful time.

A Different Kind of Wings?

Kelly actually put this little shopping bag on herself. It reminded me of costume butterfly wings. Silly girl!

Kelly had a great time getting into my dinner at Hard Times last week. She even enjoyed the spicy Texas wings!
