Over the Shoulder Shot

Kelly honored the paparazzi with this passing smile yesterday as she strutted around the house with her new baby.

Dancing Machine

Daddy got some pictures of Kelly posing and dancing today. Her pretty new sweater was a Hanukkah gift from Aunt Samantha (or "Aunt Mantha" as Kelly calls her) and her cool brown cords are from Gramma.

Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning we sorted through all the wonderful presents that we got at Gramma and Grampa's house the night before.

Kelly loved her new Elmo pajamas, which Gramma had all ready for her to change into at the end of Christmas Eve. She fell right to sleep on the ride home and didn't wake up until her usual waking time of 4 AM.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went over to Gramma and Grampa's house for holiday festivities. Kelly enjoyed hanging out with her Grampa, as usual...

Kelly placed her books on the armrest of the chair, climbed into the chair, and then started reading.


For some reason, she thinks these blocks are great to suck on.

Happy Hanukkah

Here are some not-very-good pictures from our first menorah lighting of the year. Sorry if we're looking a little rough -- it had been a long day.



Kelly looks at the menorah and says "Happy Birthday to you." Unfortunately, she has her candle holidays a little confused.

"'Gain, 'gain" is a common refrain when Kelly wants something again.

Breakfast with Santa

On Saturday we went to Airbus' Breakfast with Santa.

First, Grampa fed Kelly an assortment of yummy breakfast foods.

Hanging out with Gramma while we waited for Kelly's turn to see Santa. This is just one of Kelly's odd expressions of the day. I had to wonder if she had a canker sore or something because she kept making weird faces for no apparent reason.

I tried to prepare Kelly as well as I could for what she would do with Santa (i.e., sit on his lap and smile for the camera).

No such luck. This picture sums it up. After Kelly flat out refused to sit on Santa's lap, he had me sit on his lap, with Kelly on mine. It was slightly odd, especially since it was the first time I'd ever sat on Santa's lap in my life. ;)
