Nearly a year after we got it for her, Kelly has figured out how to play her harmonica. I'm quite impressed with her musical abilities.

Longest Day of the Year

We were outside late last night enjoying the long daylight hours with Kayla and her mom. First the girls read Kayla's National Geographic Little Kids magazine. There was a funny discourse over a photograph of crayons -- Kayla kept calling them "Cay-rons" and Kelly kept correcting her that they were "Crah'ns." The slightly-off pronunciation of each was pretty humorous.


They then took turns on Kayla's trike. First Kelly suggested she get on...


Once she got on, she didn't go anywhere. She hasn't mastered peddles yet.


So, Kayla gave her a push. Unfortunately Kelly hasn't mastered steering yet either.

Little Dogs are Scary!

We went to a barbecue out at Aunt Kate and Marsh's house in West Virginia on Sunday. Kelly got to play with two little dogs. It took her a while to get comfortable with them, as she is used to dogs that are bigger than she is (7X in Logan's case).

Kelly and Gramma and Kiwi the puppy (only 12 weeks old!). The way Gramma and Grampa gushed over this puppy, I really think they need to get one! I think Kelly would agree.


Kelly and Prissy, Marsh's parent's dog. She was a very sweet little dog as well, though she wasn't a big fan of the puppy.

Cheerleader

Kelly finally got to wear her "cheerleading uniform" that Aunt Kate got her at Disney World a while ago.

Her favorite pastime at Leesylvania park -- putting pebbles in the birdbath in front of the visitor's center.

We went over to Kayla's on Monday afternoon to have some fun.

Please disregard Kelly's fabulous hairdo... It's hard to keep it neat in the first place because of how it grows, and by the end of the day it's worse than ever!

Over the weekend we went to the playground for a little bit. There were a few too many bugs for Daddy's taste, so we didn't stay for very long!
