It's been a few days since we posted any new pics, but Kelly has been crying a lot lately so we didn't think there would be any good ones on the digital camera. She seems to be doing a little better lately. Here is what we gleaned from the backlog:
Napping today (30 days old!) in the Pack-N-Play. I just couldn't resist how cute she looked. Nothing makes Mommy happy like a good nap when the three states of Kelly are Eating, Sleeping, and Crying (though there has been a bit more of the elusive 4th state lately, Awake-without-crying). It is hard to get pictures of the 4th state. ;)
Kelly keeps trying to tell us that we're not supposed to put her in the Bumbo until she can hold her head up, but it's hard to resist trying. Don't worry, she was pretty much in it just long enough for us to figure out that it's still too soon and snap this picture (29 days old):
This was us trying out the Bumbo for the first time on Tuesday (27 days old). Obviously, Kelly is trying to get her point across here as well, "Don't you fools know it's too soon for me to sit in this thing?" But at that point, we were trying to get her to stop crying at any cost (see next picture) and the Bumbo was worth a shot.
By the time she was 27 days old, we realized that Kelly was pretty much outgrowing all her "newborn" sized clothes. So, in a mad dash to get a picture of her in the cute little outfit that her Aunt Samantha bought her, we put it on her. As cute as it was, we just hadn't had an opportunity to dress her in it due to the below-freezing temperatures that we'd had since Kelly was born. Sorry, Sam. : ( Unfortunately, Kelly wasn't very happy with this already too-small outfit. She did get a good lung workout though.

She looks so big in these pages. She's really a tiny little person.
Dear Courteney,
I am having so much fun visiting Kelly's blog!
I do want to meet her - but let's wait until she is a bit older and can handle germs from strangers.
I wonder if this is the palce to tell you James gave up daily naps at 11 months...
Love, Kathi
Glad you guys are excited about using the Bumbo (though perhaps prematurely). :) What did you think of the bottle? They were both recommended by other sources - our group doesn't have a lot of experience, collectively, with baby showers.
Andrea
How in the world did Kelly end up looking like my Uncle Bernard? He wasn't even a blood relative!
